The collective Reboot came about in Barcelona in 2006, providing a platform for artists from different areas with the idea of rebooting the electronic music scene in Catalonia, which had suffered from the lack of spaces and connections between artists and local collectives. ReBooT proposed to create a network between national and international artists, search for physical locations where these networks could be channeled and to establish the bases necessary to create a platform where the potential Barcelona electronic culture scene could really take off.
Until the end of 2007, ReBooT was dedicated to the production of events where Breakcore and Dubstep were the main protagonists, alongside artists such as Shitmat, Filastine, Vex’d, DJ Distance and DJ/Rupture. ReBooT ended in the spring of 2008 and was reborn as the label DisBooT, founded by uXuKa* in collaboration with Enric Masgrau of Discontinu Records. This is not a netlabel, nor is it a traditional record label; it records in two formats: digital and vinyl, reserving the right to offer free downloads or not.
