WHAT THE F*** IS GOING ON?

As the most oft quoted man of the 1980s, Noam Chomsky will surely not begrudge another plagiarising of his work, particularly given the rather anarcho-leftist feel to this tirade. Our friend Louis went to the US to discover exactly how the stifling bureaucracy of today’s most powerful nation limits humanity's natural yearning for creativity. The aggressive politicism of the piece speaks for itself and to overstress it once again would be missing the point. Instead of focusing on the methods conspiring to our limitation, we must focus on what indeed the “tanks [that make you] shit your pants” are attempting to limit, in this case mankind’s creative spirit.

The mere existence of this track proves the failure of such methods, anyone attempting to limit creativity, as seen here in the inspiration for this song, will instead enhance it. From Dickens in Literature to Ai Weiwei in the world of art through to The Clash in the world of music, art speaks for those who are given no voice and in fact thrives on censorship. Without having something to attack, something to improve, something to change there would be little point in art, away from the aesthetic. This is where mainstream music and real, important music differ. Real music says a big ‘Fuck you’ to the squeaky clean artists who kiss the feet of the establishment and seeks progress, seeks a different reality.

What the fuck is going on? The same as ever, and, as ever, art is winning.
